I few days ago, I went to a dressmaker to have the maxi dress of my dreams be sewn for me but that didn’t happen because the dressmaker, who previously charge me 120 RMB for a long cotton dress, now like to charge me 650RMB for the maxi dress. I mean sure, the maxi dress should be more expensive considering that the material needed is silk but 650 RMB!? Is she crazy or what? I thought it would cost around 200-300 RMB and I did try to bargain but at some point I gave up. For that money, I can buy like five pairs of jeans and a dress. I went home disappointed and thinking that I could never have a maxi dress while in China because like I told you last time, maxi dresses are not that hot in China. Stores don’t sell it so if I want to have one I have to have it sewn for me.
But luckily, when we went shopping last Saturday, I was able to find and buy this maxi dress. It’s the only maxi dress I saw in the whole shopping area mind you and I am just glad that it fits me. Alright, the colors are not exactly what I had in mind but it still looks nice and it’s just 300RMB.

I bought this cute little bag a few days ago. It’s a Daphne. I don’t know if you know the brand but it is quite well known local brand here in China. The bag is on sale and the sale price is 148 RMB. That would be around 15 Euro or 900 PHP. That’s a good price for a nice looking and quality made bag.

It only comes in off-white color and I bought it because I think I will fit perfectly to denim jeans and dresses.
Now, I should look for a pair of shoes that will fit to this.

The last time we went to Beijing, I found this pair of nice black skinny jeans which I think is perfect to pair up with some blouses I already own. I bought it but not without haggling first. Salespersons in Beijing’s famous silk market can be crazy sometimes. Imagine, the initial price given to for the jeans was 1000RMB (100EU). The pair of jeans is nice alright but that’s a crazy price! Living in this country for two years and a half taught me about the real prices of things here and for sure that this particular pair of jeans will not cost more than a hundred RMB (10EU). The salesperson and I was haggling hard but I pretended to leave so she agreed to my price. I got the jeans for 80RMB.
Now, for my skinny jeans I want to have shoes that are similar to these.

The black pair will be fit to anything but the turquoise will specially go along with similarly colored blouses and scarfs I own.
